Welcome to eloquensa! Currently masquerading as a newspaper hot off the press for want of a better idea, the story behind this edition of my world is a fairly simple one. I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...
Am I a loser, or what?

“How the hell'd we wind up like this? Why weren't we able, to see the signs that we'd missed? ..Don't think it's too late. Nothing's wrong - just as long as you know that someday I will.. Nickelback - Someday”
I’ve sort of put this place on the backburner, once again. I’ve been reading so many books - it’s just been crazy. If I’m not reading, I’m playing with my new puppy (who I didn’t even get around to introducing!) who I got on the 2nd June; she’s almost 16 weeks old now. She’s so pretty :P If I remember, I’ll post some pictures.
I’m actually at work at the moment, though I’m bored out of my mind because my friend isn’t here, which means a) she isn’t here to talk to, b) I have to do her job - ECGs. Monday was fine, because there was like 40 something of them to get through, but ever since then there’s been hardly anything. Tuesday I had 6, Wednesday I only had 4 for the whole day… so far today I’ve only had 7. Either way, boredom++. I’m actually looking for a new job at the moment, seeing as the company I work for (Healthscope) is taking over another company (Symbion), and there’s about a 95% chance that I’m going to end up without a job at the end of the year - that and I’m really, really bored with accounts. I still haven’t quite worked out what my calling is, so for the meantime I’m looking at reception/switchboard/typist jobs and office admin stuff. Though I’m looking for a job in the city which makes it far more exciting - Kev already works in North Sydney, so if I get a job around there we can move out into a little apartment in the heart of stuff.
Though with all this job-looking-for stuff, I’m making myself do a whole heap of courses which I’m very excited about. Next Monday and Tuesday I’m going to Parramatta to do my RSA and RCG (so that I can work in a bar/club that has pokey machines), which isn’t that exciting in itself but then leads me to doing a 4 day course in the very near future about bar work/cocktail making. It’s like 4 whole days of working behind a bar, learning the most trendy cocktails, how to do the orders spiffy like and just how to handle yourself in general. Coolness. Then the following Monday and Tuesday I’m doing my Seniors First Aid certificate - which looks good when you’re applying to just about any job.
Better do some work now, or pretend to anyway.
