Welcome to eloquensa! Currently masquerading as a newspaper hot off the press for want of a better idea, the story behind this edition of my world is a fairly simple one. In order to unfold it, one need only use the navigation above. Some articles will be viewer censored, and all commenting is only available once registered and logged in.

I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...

I wish: I want to stay here. I wish: This be enough. I wish: I only love you. I wish: Simplicity. Look at the speed out there - it magnetizes me to it. And I have no fear, I'm only into this to Enjoy. Björk - Enjoy

So while I haven’t actually updated the blog in the past week or so, I have been doing stuff! As you should well be able to see, I’ve finally uploaded the new layout that I was making. I was so tempted half of the time to just upload it and write content around it, but I made good of my promise to write it all before putting this thing up. I don’t want pages that aren’t functional, like my last layout where I didn’t do anything. Lazy me. So yeah, there’s not much, but it’s incredibly simple and I like it.

The other very dedicated thing I did was go through absolutely all of my previous posts (94 of them, dude) and fix the format, as well as make sure that all of the coding within the posts were XHTML Strict validated. I have posts dating back to March 2003 - that’s so much more impressive than I’d ever imagined. I was 14 then! *awww* It’s a shame I lost all the journal entries I made on my first greymatter/b2 scripted blogs when I started eloquensa in 2002. :P I dunno what I’d do without this place sometimes. I had to read through all my old entries to put them into categories, and I re-lived so many things - it really was awesome. I also rediscovered music that I’d been listening to way back then that I’d forgotten about after numerous harddrive failures.

Work was both really good and really bad today. I was somewhat unproductive in the morning because I was being taught and half teaching myself how to send out these custom company letters about patient gap contributions owing to patients without Private Health through my Medibill scheme. So because that took ages of fiddling around, and I spent some time bribing one of the IT guys with coffee so that he’d set me up a company email address - I didn’t get my huge pile of mail even opened until almost 12pm. Then I had to sort through it. But more importantly I had to get the collection centre banking deposit ready because I needed it ready to take to the bank by 2pm so I could pick my mum up from work on the way. Naturally, I started getting phone calls en masse right around the time I needed to leave - isn’t that always the way? People should learn not to ring around lunch time. So anyway, to make a long story shorter, because of this I had to work in serious overdrive in the afternoon so I could get mostly everything done. What an exertion.

Side Note: Hot chocolate is seriously addictive.

Tequila Sunrise
