Westpac can eat my venom.

Just once in my life, I think it'd be nice just to lose control - just once. If I cut you down to a thing I can use, I fear there will be nothing good left of you. Evanescence - Lose Control

“I recently went to my local branch in order to apply for a Westpac Debit Mastercard, and while I was there at 2:30pm on a weekday, during normal banking hours, I was told that the branch manager had gone home for the day and nothing could be done for me at that time. I received a call the next day from the manager only to be told that I could go back to the branch a second time and have someone apply over the internet on my behalf, or I could be given a phone number to call and apply over the phone myself. Not only was this a waste of my time, but now when I try to apply for this card online I am unable to do so because I am “not over 18.” I have been 18 for a number of weeks now and I believe it’s rather poor management on Westpac’s behalf that your online application form is unable to determine the age of a customer even after they have entered their date of birth.

I wish to have this problem with your form rectified so that I may apply for this service. I would also like my complaint about the poor standards in customer service at the Carlingford branch to be formally noted. Thank you for your assistance.”
