I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...

“And I said, goodbye to you, goodbye to everything that I knew. You were the one I loved, the one thing that I tried to hold onto - goodbye to you.. Michelle Branch - Goodbye To You”

What time do you usually wake up each day? If you could choose your wake-up time, when would it be?
During the school week, I usually wake up some time between 6:30 and 7:25. 6:30 if I plan on being punctual and having a shower, 7:25 if I really couldn’t be stuffed getting out of bed.

When was the last time you bought groceries? What store did you go to? Name 3 things you purchased.
When I was in Armidale, the first weekend of June.. We were at Woolworths (shame, yes, I would usually shop at Coles) and I bought 8 packets of mi goreng noodles ($3.60), some Dangerous Liason tim tams (don’t know how much they cost - but probably too much), 98c 2L lemon softdrink - homebrand.

How many books have you read so far this year? Which was your favorite and why?
I’ve read *counts*.. I think only 6, so shameful. My favourite would be The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood. Funnily enough it was just a random book I picked up from the library whilst bored.

What is something you consider to be very elegant? In particular, what about that item/place/person conjures up the feeling of elegance?
I’d like to think my site is vaguely elegant. ;) But seriously - I’m having a major ’skirt wearing’ phase because I think they’re really pretty and elegant (long skirts. Loong…), so much so that I actually have more skirts than jeans. What’s happening to me? Nah, I just like how they’re all flowy and ‘more mature.’

Who taught you how to drive?
Actually, I can’t drive properly yet. I’m still a road safety hazard, but the residents of Russell Island don’t seem to mind. Kev is the one with the patience - and possibly the one with a death wish - to teach me.
