Welcome to eloquensa! Currently masquerading as a newspaper hot off the press for want of a better idea, the story behind this edition of my world is a fairly simple one. In order to unfold it, one need only use the navigation above. Some articles will be viewer censored, and all commenting is only available once registered and logged in.

· behind the scenes

I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...

I never really wanted you to see, the screwed up side of me that I keep locked inside of me so deep.. It always seems to get to me, I never really wanted you to go, so many things you should have known. Crossfade - Cold

Behold. I bring to you the wonder of… New content! Well, vague attempts at content anyway. :) I don’t really care for proper content, the kind that’s supposed to keep visitors entertained - piffle, to be British - I care not for your entertainment, merely my own! I’m a bitch like that. So really, I’ve just been making new content to amuse myself. Nevertheless, here it is:

Latin story - A story each month or so that I’ve translated from Latin.
Latin story archives - The archives of these stories. I haven’t written them on the site, except for the one that’s up now, though there are short descriptions of a few of the translations I’ve done in my past.
Latin Phrasebook - A lot of you are amused by relatively hip sayings in Latin. Well here you go, a work in progress.
Domain - So, most of you never knew what the domain name meant. Well now you do!
Past Reviews - Any reviews I’ve had of eloquensa I’m gradually adding and commenting on. For record.
Children - An addition! ‘Innint he cute :P
And last but not least…
Webcam - I bring to you my life, in random pictures.

So, how awesome am I? No, don’t tell me - I apparently already have a big head. I don’t know why, but I’m on a major website spree.. I just actually like spending time doing stuff for this place, which is kinda cool. I’ve missed that..

Site updates aside, I have a lot going on in my offline life at the moment as well. As some of my dear readers may know, I’ve been trying to get a job for a while now. The need for money has finally caught up to my laziness, and I’m actually putting the effort in. To cut a long story short, I finally got a job. Well, not just one job, but two places accepted me, on the same day. I have a job at both Target and KFC at this current moment.. I’m going for Target, though - not only does it mean I don’t have to work around the smell of chicken, but they’ll probably pay me better and I have the guarantee they’re not going to treat me badly. Unions, baby! I completed my 6 hour online induction course yesterday, and since then I’ve learned I have to love the Coles Myer chain and if anyone important comes into the store and starts asking me questions, don’t answer anything, pawn them off to the manager. Sounds easy enough. :)

Next Thursday (2nd June) I’m flying out of Sydney to go to Armidale, again. I didn’t get long away from that place, did I? Well this time my Latin class is going to the Uni for some extracurricular university learning with the professors there. They (the teaching staff at the uni) just can’t get over the fact that this “dead language” has a little fanclub of 16 year olds who are all jumping up and down at the idea of learning more about it. Everyone’s happy. I’m not entirely thrilled about the idea of going on a little 36 seater plane that’s going to bounce through the clouds - but I’ll deal… And then, my friends, the Thursday after that (9th June) I’m going on a train with Kev to Queensland to go to the Dragracing Winternationals at Willowbank. A) Mini holiday for me, B) 6 days with Kev, C) Queensland fun + fast cars! It should be awesome, especially considering I get 3 days off school for it. Ahh the life of me…
