Welcome to eloquensa! Currently masquerading as a newspaper hot off the press for want of a better idea, the story behind this edition of my world is a fairly simple one. I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...
Long time, no update!

“Call it aftermath, she's turning blue - such a perfect colour for your eyes.. Call it aftermath, she's turning blue, while I just sit and stare at you. A Perfect Circle - Blue”
Wow. It’s been so long since I’ve updated this place that I had to relogin to b2. :( That’s kinda shameful.. lol.. though I can deal with that.
At the moment I’m kinda frustrated because I have a Greek assignment that I just can’t do. It’s this translation, but I can’t find some of the words in 3 different books, so I don’t know what they mean. It was also due on Wednesday (yesterday), but I didn’t realise seeing as all my other assignments have been due on the Friday of the end of every week. :( Now I have to try to find a better dictionary, and they’re generally over $100..
My holiday was great but not as good as it could have been - the main purpose being to see my aunt, who has since passed away. While I accepted it was going to happen, it was still hard to see her and the rest of my family members there, just because it seemed as though that was the only topic of conversation. I hate being surrounded by bad things. But while I wasn’t at my aunt’s, I was at my uncle’s (who is somewhat dettached from the other part of the family - complicated story); it was pretty nice. lol.. though I think he has a slight obsession with rice. We were there about 8 nights, and out of those 8 nights we had rice probably about 5 times. Not that I have anything against it, it was just really funny. He’s bought himself a $120 rice cooker, and buys rice in 20kg bags from Adelaide’s chinatown. Reminds me of when my dad cooked us stirfry 4 times a week, you can tell they’re identical.. :P
My iPod! My lovely, lovely child. It goes everywhere with me, I should probably name it something cool. It is SUCH a car/bus/train/whatever trip saver.. you just turn it on, and maybe 3 - 5 songs later you’re where you have to be. So entertaining! And it beats my $40 no-name computer speakers.. on occassion I’ve sat in front of my computer and listened to it instead. You know what else is cool? While it may be “huge” in comparison to a MD/mp3 player by sony (who are not better, they just want people to think they can have 10,000 songs on a 20gig, at 48kbps, and have it sound normal), I have in excess of 500 songs on there right now and it’s nowhere near 1/4 full. :) Sleek, sexy, sophisticated. To informally quote James - it’s like being part of a cult.
Lastly, before I leave you again, let’s have a giggle: I’m having to do ballroom dancing in PE at school right now in preparation for our formal in December, I think 8/10 guys don’t know how to lead, or at least 15 year old guys. :P But all of my toes are intact so far, so it’s going rather spiffingly.
