I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...
I need a holiday

“So far away I see the truth, I see through you. Now that I know the way you play I don't want to. Walking away I see the pain you put me through, lost in your game to change the same. Forever gone, forever you Evanescence - Forever gone, forever you”
You know the somewhat cruel, qwerky twist to my otherwise perfectly understood title? I am on holidays. :( My brain is dribbling out of my ear Giles style, and I’ve just completed a 2 week (aptly titled) crash course in classical Greek, during which in the past 2 days I’ve learnt 4 tenses. You do NOT compact the learning of 4 tenses into 2 days if you like being able to think properly afterwards. I understand how each tense works, I’ve got their endings memorised, how you create the words, and all the lovely little exceptions under my belt - except for the fact that I’m not wearing a belt - except that in the time I’m not thinking about Greek, all the information is swimming around in the area between each of my ears. I couldn’t sleep well last night because I was busy thinking about imperfect indicative middle voice agkjalksgj stuff endings. I am insane.
All that said, I’ve absolutely loved these past 2 weeks, and it’s been an awesome help to learning the lanugage. As cool as Greg is, Paul is (I hate to say it :P) cooler because of his huge amount of enthusiasm and the knowledge he gives you without the confusing side stories. Except when it comes to mythology, though mythology is great so it’s okay. The entire right hand side of my wardrobe is now covered with sheets where I’ve outlined all the tenses, declensions and participle stuff in Greek. The aim is to cover the left hand side with my Latin stuff after the summer school next week. :P What’s funny? I knew participle endings in Esperanto without knowing that’s what they were. Gotta love unknown intelligence - it gives you a nice little surprise every now and then. :P
So. What does this leave me with? Meh, I haven’t actually done a whole lot more. When I come home I have lunch, watch Buffy, maybe check my emails, watch more Buffy, eat dinner, more Buffy, and then I go to sleep. Yay?
