I'm Melissa; pretend journalist and currently real-life accountant wannabe. I used to be a kid in highschool, but I've since kicked the habit. At 18 years of age I'm just moving through life, enjoying my free-time and earning lots of money whilst still living with my parents. Continued on page 2...
I live on

Yeah, I haven’t posted in nearly a month. :P I feel kind of guilty about not posting, but the reality is: If I don’t want to bother to post, I’m not going to post. However, in this past month quite a lot has happened.
The main thing that happened today was that I downloaded Mozilla Firebird, which is absolutely awesome, and so much better than netscape, so I recommend you all get your arses over to Mozilla and download it. :P Fun for all.
Also today I went shopping with Mum and bought the next book in the series I’m reading, Anne Rice - Queen of the Damned. I’ve previously read Interview with the Vampire, and The Vampire Lestat, so no, I’m not just reading the book that goes with the movie. :P In fact, the books are a lot better than the movie looked to be, even though I only saw half of the movie. They twisted the story up a fair bit.
For the person who commented on my last journal entry - Yes, Evanescence is pretty awesome, although I agree with you that all their lyrics tend to be about the same sort of stuff. :P I’m really into George at the moment, which a lot of people may or may not have heard of considering it’s an Australian band. But if you’re interested, I recommend the song I’m listening to at the moment, and another called The Special Ones.
I feel a lot happier nowadays, mostly because I’m no longer at the computer so much. In fact, I rarely come online, and the main reason I do come online is if I need to give support to a client, do some particular work, or there’s someone online that I want to talk to. Usually James, considering I only talk to him online. What do I do in the rest of my many hours of free time, you ask? As can be concluded from what I was saying previously, I’ve been reading a lot of books, which is great because I love reading. A good book is something that everyone could do with. I’ve also gone back to playing more Gamecube, Eternal Darkness mostly, as Zelda seems to have taken a turn for the worse in the sense that to finish it I’m going to have to spend a lot of time sailing around and finding triforce pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I love Zelda, and Zelda games in general, but hunting around for things is boring. :P
What else, what else.. Hrm. My social life has taken a turn upwards, in the sense that I go out a lot more and feel like I’m a part of the group rather than someone that watches on. I’m becoming better friends with Amy, Pip and Lemon, which is great, because they’re all really cool to be around. :P Amy especially, she’s so stupid but so funny and full of life - even if she’s just getting over pneumonia in the last few weeks. However, people I’m becoming less friends with are Elyce and Alex. Elyce because I hardly ever see her and she just annoys me when she does anyway.. She’s so judgemental, which I don’t like in a person. I can judge people, I admit, but I’m a hell of a lot more open minded than she is. Gah. Plus, she whines and nags. Alex, on the other hand, is just a bit of a dickhead. He’s in a lot of my classes, and because of this I see more of him than I’d like to see. Though, to do with Alex - Amy, Piggy and I had a bet on how long it would take him and Adele to get together after Adele breaking up with Lewis, and I won. :P With a guess of 2 weeks. They don’t waste time.
That’ll do for now, considering if I write too much more I’ll have to wait another month before having anything to talk about. :P Aww, nah, I could babble until I died of starvation, don’t worry.
